Here's the Plan
The Plan.... right - Plan. We have two days off, both of us together, which is unusual in itself. So I figure we'd better have a Plan.
It's garden-planting time in the West, and so that's what we are going to do. Today. Today only. Tomorrow I have other Plans.
We have a good-sized garden, for 2 people. It's about 60'X 80'. We plant tomatoes, eggplant, onions, cukes, peppers, squash, melons and sundry other little tidbits. And flowers. We also have an asparagus bed that isn't part of the big garden, as it's maintained in a different manner

So F.E. will rototill the garden this morning, and somtime (also this morning) I'll go twizzy-dig those two beds on the far left of the picture. I don't know what to call it other than twizzy-dig, because that's basically what it is - a cultivator thing that has a twisted fork on the end and you use it by stabbing the soil and twisting. Then I'll plant parsnips, beets and spinach, and maybe some romaine, and of course radishes.
We have big sheets of black plastic we lay directly to the south of those two beds, and that's where the squash and melons are planted. And I think this year, I'll live a little dangerously and seed them in NOW - it's been warm and if we get a cold snap the seedlings will be little enough yet to cover a few times if I need to. It's too early yet to plant tomatoes and such, so we'll have a couple-weeks' breather while I start to shape up flower beds.
So that's today's Plan. Tomorrow's includes painfully creeping from bed, a hot shower, followed by Aspercreme ;o) then breakfast out, and home to print some cloth.Yippee!! I get to do something I actually want to do tomorrow! As for now - I just heard the tiller start up, so I guess we're underway - better lose the jammies and get out there!
